Kia ora Whānau We have had a fabulous week in Hōpara! Below we have a new segment, where each week a new student will reflect on the week and what we have been up to! I hope you enjoy! Weekly student recap!  This week Hōpara has been looking at the water cycle and looking at the Auckland drought. We watched a video to increase our understanding. We have been using jars, hot water and ice to make rain and now we're thinking of possible ways for Auckland to rain.  We have been agents of change by adapting to our new time table which is maths and literacy in the morning and then science/investigation in the middle block and chill after lunch. People's digital skills have increased by using our new website. We are also continuing with our learning log from lockdown to record our learning, this will be posted every fortnight on Seesaw.  By Clara-Jane  Hōpara website -  https://sites.google.com/clarkville.school.nz/hopara-2020/home?authuser=0 . Kia ora Whānau Wow what an amazing week we have had!! We have loved being back at school and have spent a lot of this week re-connecting as a class and doing activities to support our hauora/wellbeing.  This week we have spent time surveying and having conversations with our class on their "home learning" experience. Next week we will be kicking back into gear with our core learning areas but we will be slightly restructuring our timetable to suit their feedback and ideas. As a team we will work towards getting a majority of our Literacy and Maths teaching and tasks completed in the first half of the day, this will allow us to spend more time on inquiry and other learning areas of the curriculum, like science.  Hōpara students will be working from our classroom site  https://sites.google.com/clarkville.school.nz/hopara-2020/home?authuser=0 . This will be their "one stop shop" for their group tasks/follow ups.  ***Next week we are beginning an Ethical investi...
