Week 5 Hōpara Notices

Kia ora Parents/Caregivers   This week has been awesome! On Tuesday we had our Inquiry tuning in day where students got to experience the "Changes in Communication" over time, at each workshop they had to unlock several words to our overarching goal for this term! On Wednesday we had our annual swimming sports, it was great to see everyone participating and striving for personal excellence. Things to continue to remember/know..... CLARKVILLE GALA  Gala date (Friday, 20 March)  Please check the Gala information  that was added to the school app and emailed out this week,  all offers of help would be greatly appreciated.  There are many ways that families can get involved and it is all outlined in the information that has been sent out.   Kia ora Parents/Caregivers   This week in Hōpara we have been reflecting on our Camp experience, carrying out experiments in Science and gaining expertise in Scratch.  (Below are some photos to give you an idea of what we got up to!) Things to continue to remember..... Classroom reminders: Please be aware that we will not be opening our classroom door or be in the classroom until 8.30am each day, thank you for respecting this.  An important aspect of the Hōpara learning programme is Chill. Chill stands for 'Children independently leading learning', this develops their ability to self manage and direct their own learning. Kia ora Parents/Caregivers  Firstly, I hope your child has come home and shared with you their awesome experiences from camp, I know Mr B and I were extremely proud of the Hōpara students and their efforts. Secondly I would like to thank the wonderful camp parents, you guys were amazing - we couldn't have done it without you!  (Below are some photos to give you an idea of what we got up to!) Hōpara Week 2 Notices

Kia ora Hōpara Parents/Caregivers We have had another positive week in Hōpara! This week has comprised of continuing to get to know each other, lots of swimming and preparing for our Wk3 Camp to Wainui! Thank you to the camp parents for attending our pre-camp meeting, we are very lucky to have them attending and experiencing this camp with us.  Things to continue to remember.....
