Hōpara Week 4 Blog

 Kia ora Parents/Caregivers

This week in Hōpara we have been reflecting on our Camp experience, carrying out experiments in Science and gaining expertise in Scratch.

(Below are some photos to give you an idea of what we got up to!)

Things to continue to remember.....

Classroom reminders:
Please be aware that we will not be opening our classroom door or be in the classroom until 8.30am each day, thank you for respecting this.

An important aspect of the Hōpara learning programme is Chill. Chill stands for 'Children independently leading learning', this develops their ability to self manage and direct their own learning. If your child is finding difficulty to do these tasks independently then we encourage them to seek help from their peers or us as teachers.

Clarkville App:
Please make sure you have ticked the notifications area for Hōpara otherwise you will not receive alerts/notices.

Devices -
If your child has their own BYOD device they can now start to bring it to school. We will support them with getting it functioning on our school wifi.

Togs -
Children in Hōpara can now begin to bring these on daily basis.

THINGS TO DIARY...

Week 5-
