Kia ora e te Whānau  How amazing were the children in the production?! We are so incredibly pleased with how it turned out, the effort the children have put in and how it all came together. Over the next few days you will see multiple Seesaw posts including a reflection of Production, term 4 assessment and their week 5-7 learning journal. We also had our service assembly today, where many children from Hōpara received a certificate for their contribution to a particular area of the school - Well done!!  SECRET SANTA: Next Thursday we will be doing SECRET SANTA, everyone has been given a child in our class to get a small gift for. I have said the limit is $5-7 dollars. I have also encouraged the children to MAKE the gift if possible. Please let me know if you have any problems with this.  Head-lice:  Let's keep on top of it until the end of the year with nightly checks - much appreciated Nick and Ashley  Below are some photos from the presentation today.. As the next two week commences our core learning programme will get thinner due to the time frames we have, we are also mindful of not adding any extra stress to your children at this busy time!  Head-lice:  Let's keep on top of it until the end of the year with nightly checks - much appreciated Nick and Ashley  Sun Hats:  Could all parents please make sure their child has a blue bucket sunhat, the consequence now for not wearing a hat is sitting under the shade sail for the entire break time. We really want to encourage our tamariki to be "sun safe".  Dates to consider:  WEEK 8 -  Production Practices ALL Week! ...

Kia ora Hōpara whānau  Wow this week has been very eventful with students in Hōpara competing in the Duathlon and our annual athletics day. It was wonderful to see all of our team giving every event their best shot, encouraging each other and striving for personal excellence. Thank you to all of the parents that attended, this makes the day so much more special for the children!  I would also like the opportunity to introduce our two student teachers Zara Toohey and Ashley Nuttall. They are both 1st year students and have slotted into our space perfectly - we feel very lucky to have them with us for the next couple of weeks.  Production:  This has been underway with staff over the last few weeks and we are now at the stage where students will be selecting their "team item". Today they would have heard a "pitch" from each team, in which they will choose in connection to their interest and passions. There will also be a number of "main roles" that will be an...
