Kia ora Hōpara whānau  Wow this week has been very eventful with students in Hōpara competing in the Duathlon and our annual athletics day. It was wonderful to see all of our team giving every event their best shot, encouraging each other and striving for personal excellence. This week we have been doing some initial testing, this was in fractions and decimals and spelling.  Next week your child will be coming home with a list of words they got incorrect. These words all have the main spelling patterns that form a majority of words at different developmental stages. We have also been experiencing different athletics events daily and we look forward to our annual Athletics day next Wednesday...I hear there is going to be a coffee cart!!  As I'm sure you are all aware Thursday's often mean Coding and Science and this week students were coding a baseball game. We were very proud to say that 100% of students were able to complete this task. So if you get some time, ask your child to show you how the game works. Good luck to the children competing in the duathlon on Monday!...
